Branding for cleaning companies.

Your brand shows up at the front door: on the shirt, the car in the driveway, the text that says your cleaner is on the way. It has to look like the same company every single time.

The cleaning company version

Why it matters.

Picture a new client watching from the window on the first visit. An unmarked car pulls in, and someone in a plain t-shirt carries a caddy to the door. Nothing is wrong, but nothing confirms this is the company they booked. A consistent mark on the shirt, the car magnet and the arrival text closes that small gap of doubt before your cleaner even knocks.

Commercial bids feel it too. Facilities managers compare proposals side by side, and the one with a clean, consistent identity reads as the organized vendor. Branding will not win the contract alone. It does stop you from looking smaller and less established than you actually are.

What I would build

For a cleaning company.

01A logo that works on a polo

Cleaning brands live on embroidery, car magnets and small phone screens. I build the primary logo plus the single-color version that stitches cleanly and still reads from the sidewalk.

02Colors that survive real use

A palette with hex, RGB and CMYK values, picked to look right on a uniform, a printed door hanger and a booking page. Pale pastels tend to vanish on fabric, so I test before I commit.

03Separate looks for home and office

If you run residential and commercial, the rule sheet can define a warmer tone for homeowners and a more formal one for proposals, both clearly the same company. One system, two voices.

04A rule sheet your staff can follow

One page covering which logo goes where, which colors, which fonts. When a new hire orders shirts or a manager makes a flyer, nobody has to guess. Files organized, handed over and yours to keep.

The mistake I see

Sparkles, bubbles and a cartoon house

Plenty of cleaning logos use a sparkle, a bubble, a broom or a little house with a shine mark. They are friendly and completely interchangeable. A client cannot tell yours from the one on a flyer they tossed last week. The mark should say who you are, not that you clean. Everybody already knows you clean.

What you get

Brand identity & design.

Logo, colors, type, and the rules that hold it together. Built so the next person who touches your marketing does not have to guess.

  • Primary logo, plus the stacked and single-color versions you actually need
  • Color palette with hex, RGB and CMYK values
  • Typefaces chosen and licensed, with sizes and weights specified
  • A one-page rule sheet anybody can follow
  • Files organized and handed over, yours to keep
Price. Brand identity comes in The System, from $5,598 with the strategy and the website. Brand-only work is quoted after a call.

How it goes

For a cleaning company, step by step.

→ Keep scrolling. It moves sideways.

  1. Look at what exists

Your current marks, your competitors, and what your customers already associate with you.

  2. Direction, not options

Two directions, not eight. Eight is a way of making you do the deciding.

  3. Build the system

The mark, then everything that has to sit next to it.

  4. Hand it over

Organized files and a rule sheet. No hostage situation.

  5. Step five is you.

The free Receipt shows what your cleaning company should fix first. About half a minute, no card.

Questions

What cleaning services ask.

Do I need uniforms if my cleaners work alone in homes?

You do not need them, but something identifying helps. A homeowner seeing a branded shirt or lanyard knows immediately the person at the door is from the company they booked. That is a security feeling as much as a style choice. A simple polo with the single-color logo is enough, nobody needs a full outfit.

Can you keep my current name and just fix the look?

Usually, yes. If clients and referrers already know the name, changing it throws away recognition you earned. I look at what exists and decide what is worth keeping. Sometimes that is the name and the color, and only the mark gets rebuilt. I will tell you if the name itself is causing confusion with another company.

Will a new brand let me charge more?

It can help a proposal look like it came from an established vendor, which matters when you price above the cheapest bid. It will not justify a higher rate by itself. The rate holds when the brand, the reviews and the actual cleaning all agree. Brand is the part that makes the first impression match the work.
