For painters ยท Websites & funnels

Painting websites that show the prep, not just the finish.

A homeowner checking out a painter wants proof of clean work, a sense you will respect the house, and an easy way to get an estimate. Most painting sites deliver one of the three.

The painting company version

Why it matters.

Exterior and interior customers are different people with different worries. The exterior customer wants to know about prep, weather, peeling trim and how long the job will hold up. The interior customer worries about furniture, floors, color choice and living in the house while you work. A single page saying we do interior and exterior painting answers neither. Separate pages that speak to each worry do the job one page cannot.

Speed matters too. Google's web.dev guidance treats a Largest Contentful Paint of 2.5 seconds or less as good, and painting sites are often weighed down by huge gallery photos. I build mobile-first pages, compress the galleries, wire the estimate form to create a contact and reply immediately, and add a missed-call text back for when you are up a ladder.

What I would build

For a painting company.

01Separate interior, exterior and cabinet pages

Each service gets a page that answers its own questions. Exterior talks prep and weather, interior talks protection and color, cabinets talk finish and durability. Plus a real page for each town you serve.

02Galleries that load on a phone

Before and after photos compressed and sized properly, so the page loads fast on mobile data in a driveway. A gallery that takes forever to load is a gallery nobody ever sees.

03An estimate form that replies

The form asks interior or exterior, rough scope and timing. It creates a contact, fires an immediate reply and offers real estimate slots straight from your calendar.

04Missed-call text back

When you are on a ladder and miss a call, the caller gets a text inside a minute. They know you got it, and they are less likely to dial the next painter on the list.

The mistake I see

Gallery photos of finished rooms that could be anyone's

Painting websites often show finished rooms that look like catalog photos, sometimes literally stock. The homeowner cannot tell whether you painted them or how carefully. Real before and afters with a short note about the prep, the product and the problem solved are far more believable. Peeling trim before and crisp trim after beats any pile of pretty finished rooms.

What you get

Websites & funnels.

Built in GoHighLevel so your site, forms, calendar, texts and follow-up are one system instead of five tools taped together.

  • Mobile-first pages, because that is where your customer is standing
  • Booking calendar wired to your real availability
  • Forms that create a contact and fire a reply immediately
  • Missed-call text back
  • Tracking so you know which page produced the inquiry
Price. A full rebuild starts at $3,998 ($1,999 to start, $1,999 at completion). Single fixes start at $499.

How it goes

For a painting company, step by step.

→ Keep scrolling. It moves sideways.

  1. Map the path

What somebody does between finding you and booking. Usually shorter than people expect.

  2. Build the pages

One page per service, one per town you serve. Not one page trying to do everything.

  3. Wire the follow-up

Auto-acknowledgement, reminders, and the sequence that runs when nobody replies.

  4. Test it on a phone

On mobile data, not office wifi. That is the real condition.

  5. Step five is you.

The free Receipt shows what your painting company should fix first. About half a minute, no card.

Questions

What painters ask.

Should I list the paint brands I use?

If you choose quality lines on purpose, yes. Plenty of homeowners recognize paint brands and read them as a signal of quality. Explaining why you pick a particular product for exteriors or trim gives the homeowner a reason your quote might be higher. If you use whatever the customer wants, say that instead.

Do I need an online color consultation feature?

Probably not as a feature. A page explaining how you help with color choices, with a few real examples, is usually enough. Homeowners mostly want to know you will help them choose instead of leaving them alone with a fan deck. If you offer formal color consultations, give them their own page and a booking option.

Can my website help with the exterior season backlog?

Yes. A clear note on the exterior page about when to book, plus an estimate form collecting requests in late winter, pulls demand earlier. Some painters show their booking window openly so nobody is surprised. That honesty usually lands better than being vague and then booking people far out.
