For tattoo shops ยท Websites & funnels

A tattoo shop site that books the artist.

A tattoo site has two jobs: show each artist's best work, healed and fresh, and turn a serious inquiry into a booked consult with a deposit. Plenty of shops only do the first.

What you are paying for

Websites & funnels.

Built in GoHighLevel so your site, forms, calendar, texts and follow-up are one system instead of five tools taped together.

  • Mobile-first pages, because that is where your customer is standing
  • Booking calendar wired to your real availability
  • Forms that create a contact and fire a reply immediately
  • Missed-call text back
  • Tracking so you know which page produced the inquiry

What I would build

For a tattoo shop.

01Artist pages with healed work

Each artist gets a page with their style, fresh and healed photos, their booking status and their own inquiry button. Clients come for an artist, so the site should go straight to one.

02An inquiry form that does the intake

Placement, approximate size, style, reference images, color or black and grey, and preferred artist. The artist gets what they need to plan a consult, without the DM back-and-forth.

03Consults and deposits built in

Consult booking tied to the artist's real availability, with the deposit step clearly explained: what it is, whether it comes off the final price under your policy, and what happens if someone cancels.

04Policies and aftercare on the page

Age and ID requirements, deposit and reschedule rules, touch-up policy and your written aftercare instructions, all published. Fewer repeat questions, fewer surprises at the door.

The tattoo shop version

Why it matters.

Take the client who has wanted a fine-line botanical piece for a year. They found your artist through a friend, loved the portfolio, and went to book. The site had a gallery of mixed work with no names, a contact page with an email address, and nothing about deposits or the consult. They sent an email. It sat unanswered. They booked with someone else who had a proper form.

Built in GoHighLevel, the site keeps artist pages, inquiry forms, consult booking, deposits and follow-up texts in one place. An inquiry creates a contact and fires an immediate reply, and a missed call during a session triggers a text back. Tracking shows which artist page produced the booking, which helps when deciding who to feature next.

The mistake I see

A gallery with no names attached

Shop galleries often mix every artist's work into one big grid. A client falls for a piece and has no idea who did it, or whether that artist is even still at the shop. Credit every piece, organize by artist, and the gallery turns from decoration into a booking tool.

How it goes

For a tattoo shop, step by step.

→ Keep scrolling. It moves sideways.

  1. Map the path

What somebody does between finding you and booking. Usually shorter than people expect.

  2. Build the pages

One page per service, one per town you serve. Not one page trying to do everything.

  3. Wire the follow-up

Auto-acknowledgement, reminders, and the sequence that runs when nobody replies.

  4. Test it on a phone

On mobile data, not office wifi. That is the real condition.

  5. Step five is you.

Questions

What tattoo shops ask.

Our books open and close. Can the site handle that?

Yes. Each artist page can show whether books are open, closed or waitlist only, and the inquiry form can switch to a waitlist signup when books close. When they open again, everyone on the list gets notified at once instead of the artist fielding a flood of DMs.

Can clients pay the deposit on the site?

Yes. The deposit can be taken when the consult or session is booked, with the policy shown right there so nobody can say they did not see it. The artist sees the paid deposit attached to the booking, and the client gets an immediate confirmation by text.

Should flash be on the website?

If you do flash, yes. A flash page with available designs, sizes and prices is the one part of a tattoo site that can be booked almost like a regular appointment. It also gives walk-in clients something to browse before they come in, which speeds things up at the counter.

What comes after
