For tattoo shops ยท Social media management

Tattoo shop social that keeps up with the art.

Artists finish pieces every day. Healed photos come back, flash sheets get drawn, books open and close. Your shop feed should show all of it, and usually shows almost none.

What I would build

For a tattoo shop.

01Healed work, regularly

A recurring healed-work feature, posted with the client's permission. It answers the question every serious client is asking: does this artist's work still look good after it heals.

02Flash drops and books-open posts

Templates for new flash sheets, flash day announcements and books opening. Posted the moment they matter, with a link to the inquiry form so interest turns into bookings.

03Artist spotlights

Recurring posts on each artist's style and specialties, tagged to their personal account. Their audience grows, and the shop account becomes the place clients find everyone at once.

04Caption voice that fits the shop

Captions written to sound like your shop, whether that is dry, loud or blunt. Never a corporate tone, because tattoo clients can smell it from across the street.

The tattoo shop version

Why it matters.

Artists post their own work, and they should. The shop account is what gets neglected. A potential client hears about the shop, looks it up, and finds a feed that stopped months ago on a holiday hours post. The talent is real. It just lives on personal accounts the client has not found yet, and may never find.

The system is set up once in your shop's voice: templates and recurring themes like healed work, flash drops, artist spotlights and books-open announcements. Artists drop photos into a shared folder. I write, design and schedule, you approve in one step, and every month you get a summary of what ran and what moved.

The mistake I see

Posting fresh work only

Fresh tattoos photograph shiny, red and sometimes swollen, and experienced clients know what that can hide. A feed with no healed photos asks clients to trust the work blind. Healed shots are the strongest proof a shop can post, and they are the ones that never get collected unless someone asks.

How it goes

For a tattoo shop, step by step.

→ Keep scrolling. It moves sideways.

  1. Build the system

Templates, voice, the recurring themes. Done once.

  2. First 30 days on me

You see it working for a full month before you pay a monthly cent.

  3. You approve, I post

    One review, one tap.

  4. Keep going

90-day agreement, cancel any time after.

  5. Step five is you.

Questions

What tattoo shops ask.

How do we get clients to send healed photos?

Ask at the session, then follow up once the tattoo should be healed with a short text asking for a photo. Plenty of clients are happy to send one, especially when the artist asks personally. I can build that request into an automation so it happens every time.

Is there anything we should not post?

Anything the client has not agreed to, and anything that shows placement or skin the client might not want public. Platforms also have their own content rules, so posts stay within what each one allows. When in doubt, I ask before posting.

Does the 90-day agreement still make sense if our books close?

Yes, because a shop with closed books still benefits from posting. Healed work, flash and artist features keep the waitlist growing and the shop visible for when books open. If closing books changes what you need, I adjust the content plan rather than letting the feed go silent.

What comes after
