For HVAC companies ยท Paid ads
Paid ads for HVAC companies.
Ads in HVAC are easy to waste. Run them in a cold snap and you pay for calls you cannot take. Run them to a weak page in spring and you pay for nothing.

The HVAC company version
Why it matters.
Paid search makes sense in two moments. One is the repair search, where a call-only campaign puts your number in front of someone with no heat right now. The other is the replacement search, where a homeowner researching a heat pump or new boiler needs a landing page built for that decision, with your installs, the process and a way to book an estimate.
Ads amplify whatever is already there. If the landing page is slow or vague, ads just lose money faster. I check the destination first, and if it is not ready I fix that before spending any of your budget on clicks.
What I would build
For an HVAC company.
Search and call-only campaigns aimed at people already looking for furnace, boiler or AC repair. Tight radius, tight keywords, a real budget cap. They run when you have capacity and pause when you do not.
Landing pages built for the ad, not the home page: one for heat pump conversions, one for boiler replacement. Each one shows your work, explains the process and books an in-home estimate.
Retargeting for the homeowners who read the heat pump page and left. Replacement decisions take weeks, and staying visible while they collect quotes keeps you in the running when they finally choose.
A pause rule for when you are booked out. When the schedule is full during a freeze, ads stop. Call tracking shows what a booked job actually cost, so you are measuring jobs, not clicks.
The mistake I see
Bidding on 'HVAC' and paying for everything
Broad keywords like HVAC or heating bring in people looking for jobs, DIY tips, parts and companies in other states. Every one of those clicks costs money. HVAC ads work when the keywords describe the service and the situation: boiler repair, heat pump installer, no heat. Narrow beats broad when the budget is yours.

Questions
What HVAC companies ask.
Should we run Local Services Ads or regular Google Ads?
Often both, for different jobs. Local Services Ads suit repair calls because they show at the top with your reviews and you pay per lead, not per click. Regular search ads give you more control for replacement campaigns and landing pages. I look at your reviews and budget before recommending either.
Can we run ads about heat pump rebates?
You can promote that you help homeowners with the rebate process, if you do. Be careful with amounts. Program rules and rebate figures change, and an ad promising a specific number can create problems once it is out of date. Point people to a page you keep current instead.
How much should an HVAC company spend on ads?
Enough to learn something, capped at a figure you are comfortable losing while I test. I start small and local, measure to booked jobs, then either scale or stop. If the numbers do not work, I will tell you, and that is an acceptable outcome too.
