For pet groomers ยท Websites & funnels

Websites for groomers that book while you groom.

Your site should book a dog, collect its vaccine records and answer the price question while your hands are busy. That is the whole job.

What I would build

For a pet grooming business.

01Booking tied to your real schedule

A booking calendar wired to your availability by service length, so a full doodle groom never lands in a nail-trim slot. Mobile routes can be set by area and day.

02Intake and vaccine records up front

Forms that collect breed, temperament, health notes and vaccine records, create a contact and fire a reply immediately. You see the anxious dog or the matted coat before it walks in.

03A services page that explains pricing honestly

One page per service with starting prices or ranges and the things that change them, like size, coat condition and behavior. Fewer surprises at pickup, fewer arguments at the counter.

04Missed-call text back and tracking

Missed calls get a text with the booking link while you finish the dog on the table. Tracking shows which page produced each booking, so you know what is pulling its weight.

The pet grooming business version

Why it matters.

A new client finds you on a Sunday night after looking at their doodle and realizing it has been too long. They want to know if you take doodles, roughly what it costs, what you need from them, and whether there is an opening this month. If the site cannot answer that quickly on a phone, they book with whoever can.

Intake matters as much as booking. Breed, age, temperament, coat condition, vet contact and proof of vaccination all need collecting before the first appointment. Done on paper at the counter, it makes the first visit start late. A good intake form saves time on the day and flags the dogs that need extra planning.

The mistake I see

A site that is just a link to Instagram

Many groomers send everyone to a social profile and take bookings by direct message. It works until the inbox gets buried, a message slips through, or the account is locked. A plain website with booking and policies is the part of the business you actually own, and it reaches owners who never open social apps.

How it goes

For a pet grooming business, step by step.

→ Keep scrolling. It moves sideways.

  1. Map the path

What somebody does between finding you and booking. Usually shorter than people expect.

  2. Build the pages

One page per service, one per town you serve. Not one page trying to do everything.

  3. Wire the follow-up

Auto-acknowledgement, reminders, and the sequence that runs when nobody replies.

  4. Test it on a phone

On mobile data, not office wifi. That is the real condition.

  5. Step five is you.

Questions

What pet groomers ask.

Should new clients be able to book a first groom online?

You can allow it with guardrails. A common setup lets new clients request rather than book, so you can review breed, coat and temperament first, while regulars book directly. That way the calendar never fills with a matted giant breed in a slot meant for a small dog.

Will a gallery of before-and-after photos slow the site down?

Not if the images are sized properly. I compress and size gallery photos for phones, so a page full of fluffy dogs still loads quickly on mobile data. A small gallery of strong before-and-after pairs usually does more than a page of every groom you have ever done.

I rent a table in a shared salon. Do I need my own site?

If you have your own clients and your own book, a simple site with your booking link helps them find you directly. If the salon handles all booking, put your effort into your profile on the salon's site instead. Two booking systems for the same tables create double bookings.
