For plumbers ยท Social media management
Social media for plumbers, without the fluff.
A burst pipe never sends anyone to Instagram. A bathroom remodel does. Social for plumbers is mostly about proving you are real and showing the planned work.

The plumbing company version
Why it matters.
Be clear-eyed about where plumbing jobs come from. Emergencies arrive through search, maps and referrals. Social media plays a supporting role: when a homeowner hears your name from a neighbor and looks you up, a current page with real jobs says you are active and trustworthy. A page abandoned since some old holiday post says the opposite, at the worst possible moment.
Where social earns its keep is planned work and timing. Remodel progress photos, a clean water heater swap, a short warning before a deep freeze about opening cabinet doors under sinks. Pricing is public: $499 setup, your first month free, then from $499/month, on a 90-day agreement.
What I would build
For a plumbing company.
The complete content system built in your brand: job of the week, before and after, freeze and thaw warnings, remodel progress, meet the crew. Templates set once, so every post is quick to make and consistent.
Written and designed to sound like you. Plain advice about shutoff valves and frozen pipes, honest explanations of what you found inside a drain line, and no forced puns about flushing.
One approval step, then I schedule and publish on your channels. You glance at the batch on your phone between calls, approve it, and the posts go out while you are under a sink.
A monthly summary of what ran and what moved. If remodel photos bring in consultation requests and tips do nothing, I shift the mix. If a channel is dead weight, I say so.
The mistake I see
Making gross drain photos the whole feed
Plumbers love a disgusting clog photo, and some followers do too. Plenty of homeowners scrolling at dinner do not. Used sparingly with a useful lesson, it works. As the main content, it makes your page something people hide. Balance it with clean installs, finished bathrooms and the crew, so the page looks like a company someone would invite in.

Questions
What plumbers ask.
Is Facebook still worth it for a plumbing company?
For most local plumbers, yes, mainly because of community groups where people ask for recommendations and because homeowners check your page before calling. Instagram helps if you do remodel work with good photos. Beyond those two, add channels only when someone on your team actually wants to run them.
Can social media help with emergency calls at all?
Indirectly. A seasonal post before a deep freeze, with your number and simple advice, puts you in front of people right before pipes start bursting. Being recognized when they search helps them choose you. But nobody scrolls Instagram while water pours through a ceiling, so do not expect emergency calls from it.
What do we post when every job looks the same?
Every job looks the same to you. To a homeowner, a corroded water heater, a tree root in a sewer line or a neatly soldered manifold is new information. I turn routine jobs into short explanations of what went wrong and how to avoid it. That is useful, and the supply never runs out.
