For masonry and hardscape contractors ยท Social media management

Social media for masons.

Hardscape projects take days or weeks, and every stage is worth showing. A typical mason's feed posts only the finish, if anything at all.

The masonry contractor version

Why it matters.

A retaining wall build is a story with a beginning, a middle and an end. The excavation, the compacted base, the first course set level, the drainage stone, the cap going on. Homeowners following that progress see something they never see in a quote: why good masonry takes as long as it does and costs what it costs. That is the content that justifies your price.

I run it as a system. You send phone photos from the site, I write and design the posts in your voice, you approve once and I publish. It is $499 setup, your first month free, then from $499/month, under a 90-day agreement. Long builds feed the calendar on their own, so the feed does not dry up between projects.

What I would build

For a masonry contractor.

01Progress series templates

The complete content system built in your brand, with templates for build progress: dig, base, first course, finished. One project becomes a short series instead of a single photo nobody remembers.

02Detail shots that show the craft

Posts that zoom in on what separates good work: tight joints, clean cuts, level caps, flashing on a chimney rebuild. Written and designed in your voice, so it reads like the person who laid it.

03One approval and done

One approval step, not a committee. Posts are scheduled and published on your channels, so a muddy week on site does not mean a silent week online.

04A monthly look at what moved

Monthly summary of what ran and what moved. If the chimney repair posts bring calls and the patio reveals bring saves and shares, you know which job types to photograph next.

The mistake I see

Posting the reveal and skipping the build

Masons tend to post one glamour shot when a patio is done and nothing else. That photo looks like every other hardscape contractor's photo. The process is what nobody else shows: the depth of the dig, the base, the drainage. It is also your strongest argument against being judged as just another quote.

Questions

What masonry and hardscape contractors ask.

Will homeowners really care about base prep?

The ones you want will. People spending real money on a patio have often watched a neighbor's pavers sink or a wall start to lean. Showing the excavation and compaction answers a question they have but do not know how to ask. The bargain hunters scroll past, which is fine.

What do I post in January when nothing is being built?

Finished projects from the season, chimney and repair work if you do it, before-and-after comparisons, and posts aimed at homeowners planning spring builds. Winter is when people research patios, so it is not the time to go quiet. I plan winter content from the summer photos.

Do I have to take the photos?

Someone on site does, yes. Phone photos are fine if they are steady and well lit, and I give you a short shot list per stage. If nobody will reliably take pictures, fix that habit before paying for monthly social, because the whole system runs on what comes in from the site.

What comes after

Pairs well with.
