For bakeries ยท Content design

Content design for bakeries.

You already post. What you hate is building the Thanksgiving pie graphic at eleven at night. Content design gives you the files and templates so that stops being your job.

What I would build

For a bakery.

01Preorder graphics and order sheets that match

The post, the story, the email and the paper sheet at the register all say the same thing with the same deadline, in the same look. Delivered sized for each place it goes.

02Templates for the things you change weekly

Today's specials, back this week, sold out, closed early. Editable templates you can fill in from your phone without me, so even the quick posts look like your bakery.

03Newsletter design for regulars

An email layout for preorder openings and seasonal returns. Regulars who sign up at the counter are the people most likely to order a holiday tray, and email reaches them without fighting an algorithm.

04Print for the counter and the market table

Menu cards, case labels, custom cake info sheets and a market banner when you need one. Print-ready files, so you are not stretching a phone graphic for the print shop.

The bakery version

Why it matters.

Bakeries produce a surprising amount of design. Holiday order sheets for the counter. Price cards for the case. The sold-out sign. The flyer for the farmers market table. The email telling regulars that preorders are open. Each one usually gets made in a hurry by whoever is free, and the result is a shop where every sign uses a different font and the order sheet does not match the post announcing it.

Content design produces those pieces in your brand, in batches, and hands you templates for the ones you change constantly. You publish from your own accounts on your own timing. It suits a bakery that is happy running its own Instagram but wants it to stop looking improvised.

The mistake I see

Making the order sheet and the post separately

The Instagram post says preorders close Sunday. The paper sheet at the register says Monday. The email says nothing because nobody sent one. Customers notice, and the person who shows up Monday with the paper sheet in hand gets turned away. Build every piece of a campaign from one set of facts, at the same time.

How it goes

For a bakery, step by step.

→ Keep scrolling. It moves sideways.

  1. Set the templates

So everything after this is fast and consistent.

  2. Agree a batch

Monthly or per campaign, whichever suits how you work.

  3. Make it

Delivered as finished files, sized for where they are going.

  4. You publish

On your schedule, from your accounts.

  5. Step five is you.

Questions

What bakeries ask.

Can you design a cake portfolio or lookbook for us?

Yes, as a layout for the website or a printed book customers can flip through at the counter. A clean gallery organized by occasion, like weddings, birthdays and showers, helps a planning customer find their style fast instead of scrolling a year of mixed posts.

We do allergen-friendly items. How should that show up in graphics?

Carefully. Labels and graphics should match exactly what your kitchen can stand behind, in the wording you already use. If you bake in a shared kitchen, the design should not imply an item is free of something it may have touched. I design the layout. The claim itself has to come from you.

How often would we get new designs?

Usually a monthly batch, with extra pieces before big holidays. Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and Mother's Day tend to need a full campaign set. The quieter months might only need a few posts and a refreshed menu card. It works best when the calendar is agreed early in the season.

What comes after

Pairs well with.
