For plumbers ยท Content design

Content design for plumbing companies.

The best plumbing marketing usually lives in a tech's phone: a rough-in before the drywall, a corroded tank next to the new one. Content design turns that into something people read.

The plumbing company version

Why it matters.

Rough-in work disappears the moment the walls close. A clean, well-pitched drain line and neatly strapped supply lines are invisible to the homeowner a week later, and to every future customer. Laid out as a before-and-after with a few honest notes, that same work becomes proof for the next remodel client and the contractor deciding which plumber to sub to.

This service assumes you already have someone publishing. What is missing is the material. I set templates once, then deliver batches of finished files: graphics, case study layouts, emails and print pieces, sized for where they go and in your brand.

What I would build

For a plumbing company.

01Remodel case studies for contractors and homeowners

Case study and before-and-after layouts for bathroom and kitchen rough-ins, repipes and fixture installs. Built to share with designers and remodelers, and to sit on your site as proof of planned work.

02Leave-behinds that live in the junk drawer

Print collateral the tech leaves after a job: a magnet with your emergency number, a water heater care card, a tag for the main shutoff valve. When the next leak happens, that is what they reach for.

03Freeze and thaw graphics

Post and story graphics for the seasons that drive plumbing calls: freeze warnings, thaw and sump pump reminders, holiday drain advice. Reusable templates, so the office can post a quick alert without me.

04Emails for past customers

Email and newsletter design aimed at people you have already served: water heater check reminders, seasonal tips, a note about remodel availability. Past customers are where repeat and referral work comes from.

The mistake I see

Only documenting the disasters

Plumbers photograph the dramatic jobs, the flooded basement and the split pipe, and skip the quiet, skilled work. Disasters get clicks but say little about your craftsmanship. Homeowners choosing who will repipe their house want to see neat work in progress. Document the careful, boring jobs as well as the wild ones.

What you get

Content design.

For the business that has the posting handled but cannot stand making the posts.

  • Post and story graphics in your brand
  • Templates you can reuse without me
  • Case studies and before-and-after layouts
  • Email and newsletter design
  • Print collateral when you need it
Price. Single fixes start at $499. Monthly batches are quoted after a call.

How it goes

For a plumbing company, step by step.

→ Keep scrolling. It moves sideways.

  1. Set the templates

So everything after this is fast and consistent.

  2. Agree a batch

Monthly or per campaign, whichever suits how you work.

  3. Make it

Delivered as finished files, sized for where they are going.

  4. You publish

On your schedule, from your accounts.

  5. Step five is you.

The free Receipt shows what your plumbing company should fix first. About half a minute, no card.

Questions

What plumbers ask.

What should our techs photograph on a job?

A wide shot before anything moves, a few close-ups of the problem, the work in progress and a clean finished shot from the same angle as the first. Keep house numbers and personal items out. That set is enough for me to build a case study or a before-and-after post.

Can you design materials for contractors we work with?

Yes. A simple capabilities sheet or a short case study packet for remodelers and designers is print collateral I can make. It shows the rough-ins you do, your licensing and how to schedule you, and it helps the people who refer you explain why they chose you.

Is content design worth it if we barely post?

Probably not yet. If nobody is publishing, finished graphics will sit in a folder. In that case social media management, where I also publish, makes more sense. Content design fits plumbers who have an office person or family member posting and just need better material to work with.

What comes after

Pairs well with.
