For auto repair shops ยท Social media management
Social media for auto repair shops.
Social will not fix a car or book a brake job by itself. It shows the techs, the bays and the honesty, so when a warning light comes on, your shop is the one people already trust.

The auto repair shop version
Why it matters.
Picture a post showing a worn brake pad next to a new one, with a tech explaining how to tell when yours need replacing. Nobody books a brake job from that post today. But the driver who sees it remembers your shop as the one that explains things. When the grinding starts next month, that memory is worth more than a coupon.
Social also introduces the people. Customers get nervous about repair shops because they do not know who is working on their car. Tech spotlights, the owner talking about how estimates work, a look at a clean bay. Familiarity eases the fear that pushes people to the dealer or the cheapest quote.
What I would build
For an auto repair shop.
Recurring themes built once in your brand: tech spotlights, the worn part of the week, seasonal reminders, honest tips. So nobody has to invent a post between oil changes.
Plain explanations, no walls of jargon, no hype. I write and design each post, schedule it on your channels, and you approve it in one step.
Snow tire posts before the first storm, pothole and alignment posts in spring, AC checks before the heat. Posts show up when drivers are actually thinking about it.
What ran, what drew messages, what I change next. Pricing is $499 setup, your first month free, then from $499/month, on a 90-day agreement you can cancel after.
The mistake I see
Posting jokes about clueless customers
Shop memes about drivers who ignored the check engine light get laughs from other mechanics. Customers see a shop that mocks people who do not know cars, which describes most of them. That is exactly the fear that keeps people away from independent shops. Keep the humor on the cars and the weather, never on the customers.

Questions
What auto repair shops ask.
Which platform should a repair shop be on?
Facebook is still where plenty of local drivers ask for shop recommendations, and Google posts show on your profile. Instagram works if you have visual work like restorations or performance builds. You do not need to be everywhere. A steady, useful presence on the right channel beats a scattered one across all of them.
Can you post pictures of customers' cars?
With permission, and with license plates blurred or out of frame. Plenty of customers are proud of their cars and happy to be featured, especially after a restoration or a big repair. For everyday work, focus on the parts, the process and the techs. That is often more useful content anyway.
I do not have time to take photos. Will this still work?
I need some raw material, but it can be simple. A few phone photos a week of a worn part, a clean bay or a tech at work is enough. I build the system around what you can realistically capture and handle the writing, design and scheduling myself.
