For flooring contractors ยท Paid ads
Flooring ads measured in booked measures.
A flooring ad has one job: get the customer into the showroom or onto the measure calendar. If the landing page cannot do that, the budget goes to the platform and nothing comes back.

What you are paying for
Paid ads.
Ads amplify whatever is already there. If the page does not convert, ads make you lose money faster.
- Search and call-only campaigns for people already looking
- Retargeting for the ones who bounced
- Landing pages built for the ad, not the home page
- Call tracking so you know what a booked job cost
- A pause rule for when you are booked out

Book thirty minutes and I will tell you exactly what it would take.
What I would build
For a flooring company.
Separate campaigns for refinishing, hardwood, luxury vinyl or tile, each pointing at its own page. The ad matches the search, and the page matches the ad.
Pages built for the ad, with real installs and a booking calendar for the showroom or the measure. Not your home page, and definitely not a manufacturer catalog.
Flooring decisions take time. Retargeting shows your installs to people who visited and left to think it over, so you are still in view when they choose.
Calls and bookings tracked to measures and signed jobs. A pause rule for when installers are booked weeks out, so you are not buying leads you cannot serve.
The flooring company version
Why it matters.
Searches with buying intent are specific: hardwood refinishing, waterproof flooring for a basement, a flooring store close by. Those are worth paying for, but only if the click lands on a page that answers that exact question and makes booking easy. Sending a refinishing search to a home page full of carpet promotions wastes the click. So the destination gets checked first, and if it is not ready I fix it or do not start.
From there it stays tight: search campaigns for people already looking, retargeting for customers who browsed and left to think, a radius that matches where you actually install, and a real budget cap. Call tracking ties ad spend to booked measures and signed jobs. When installers are booked out, the pause rule stops the spend.
The mistake I see
Running ads that compete on product price
Flooring ads often lead with a price per square foot or a discount. That drops you into a price fight with big-box stores and online sellers you cannot win, and it attracts customers who shop on price alone. Ads that lead with expertise and installation attract the customers who care about getting it done right, and those are the jobs worth paying for.

Check the destination
If the page is not ready, I fix that first or I do not start.
Start small and local
Tight radius, tight keywords, real budget cap.
Measure to booked work
Not clicks, not impressions. Jobs.

Both are acceptable outcomes and I will tell you which.

Questions
What flooring contractors ask.
Should we advertise specific products or brands?
Rarely as the lead. Customers can buy many of the same products elsewhere, often online. Advertise the service and the outcome, like refinished floors or a basement floor that handles moisture, and let the product talk happen in the showroom. Brand names can appear on the landing page if they help.
When is the best time to run flooring ads?
Before your busy windows fill: early fall for the pre-holiday rush, and spring for move-ins. During peak periods, if you are booked out, the pause rule should kick in. I start small, track to booked measures, and adjust based on what the numbers say.
Do flooring ads work for small companies?
They can, with a tight radius, specific searches and a strong landing page. A small company that installs well and explains clearly can win searches the big stores ignore. If the numbers do not work, I stop, and I will tell you plainly instead of asking for more budget.
