For flooring contractors ยท Content design

Flooring content that helps customers choose.

Customers ask the same questions every week: which floor for a basement, which survives a dog, how to clean it. Content design turns those answers into pieces that work without you.

What I would build

For a flooring company.

01Material comparison sheets

Print and digital layouts comparing floors on what customers actually care about: water, pets, noise, comfort, upkeep. Designed to go home with them after a showroom visit.

02Care and aftercare guides

Branded care sheets for each material, including what to expect from wood as the house heats and cools. Fewer panicked calls in February, and fewer unfair reviews.

03Before and after layouts

Templates for installs and refinishing reveals, sized for posts, stories and your website. Reusable without me whenever a good job wraps up and the photos come in.

04Email and newsletter design

Newsletter templates for past customers and partners like realtors and designers, so you stay in mind when the next move-in or listing suddenly needs new floors.

The flooring company version

Why it matters.

Every flooring salesperson has explained solid versus engineered hardwood more times than they can count. Same for luxury vinyl versus laminate, and why tile needs a flat subfloor. Those explanations are your best sales tool, and they disappear the moment the customer walks out. Designed comparison sheets, room guides and care sheets go home with the customer and keep explaining when you are not there.

Templates get set once, and then I work in batches, monthly or by campaign. Finished files come sized for print, email and social. That includes before and after layouts for installs and refinishing, case studies for whole-house jobs, and aftercare emails that cut down on worried calls when the seasons change and wood floors move.

The mistake I see

Sending customers home with a sample and nothing else

A customer leaves the showroom with a few samples and a business card. At home, they cannot remember which one handled moisture, which was the scratch-resistant one, or what was said about the subfloor. The decision stalls, or goes to a competitor who sent a clear summary. Designed take-home materials keep your advice with the customer after they leave.

How it goes

For a flooring company, step by step.

→ Keep scrolling. It moves sideways.

  1. Set the templates

So everything after this is fast and consistent.

  2. Agree a batch

Monthly or per campaign, whichever suits how you work.

  3. Make it

Delivered as finished files, sized for where they are going.

  4. You publish

On your schedule, from your accounts.

  5. Step five is you.

Questions

What flooring contractors ask.

Can you design sample tags and showroom signage?

Yes, as print collateral. Sample tags, display cards and signage that explain each material plainly help customers browse without waiting for a salesperson. They also keep your brand on every sample that goes home, so the customer remembers where it came from.

Do aftercare guides really matter for marketing?

More than people think. Wood floors move with seasonal humidity, and a customer who sees small gaps in winter may assume the install failed. A clear guide that explains this before it happens prevents complaints and bad reviews. It also shows you know the material, which builds trust for the next job.

Is this different from the social media service?

Yes. Content design delivers finished graphics, guides and templates, and you or your team publish them. Social media management also covers writing, scheduling and posting. If someone already posts for you, content design fills the design gap. If nobody posts, the social service is probably the better fit.

What comes after
